WELCOME to the VCAM Region 1 Conference “VOLUNTEERING IN ART MUSEUMS: LEARN, SHARE, COMMIT “ to be held Monday, April 11, 2011, at the Museum of Anthropology, Vancouver, BC. Whether or not you attended earlier VCAM conferences – Victoria (in 2005) or Seattle (in 2008) – you will not want to miss April 11, 2011 in Vancouver! At this one-day conference co-hosted by the Volunteer Associates of the Museum of Anthropology (MOA) and the Associates of the Vancouver Art Gallery (VAG) , you will:
MEET friends, volunteers and associates from British Columbia, Washington, Oregon and more, at a continental breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks (included in registration fee).
BE INSPIRED by speakers on subjects both current and controversial, such as “The Blockbuster Show Effect” and “Art Museum Renewal”, and their impact on volunteers.
PARTICIPATE in breakout sessions to discuss ways to better “Learn, Share and Commit”.
VISIT the beautiful world-renowned Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia.
